HOW WE MET

Joe and I met over the internet. That's right. The computer felt that we were good matches for each other. Joe wanted to move to California after graduating from his degree program and I already lived in the great golden state. We were obviously wonderful matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Crazy story really.

May 19 was spent at a judo tournament where I took first place. I was promptly picked up by a friend's friend and taken directly to a bachelorette party. I did my best to pretty up during the car ride.

I spent all evening dancing and drinking and having a fabulous time with my friend who would become a bride in a week. I stayed up until 4:30 in the morning only to wake up a few hours later and go to my friend's bridal party. Needless to say, I was exhausted by 6 that evening when I finally came home.

I hopped into my Tinker Bell sweats and crawled under the blankets to veg. I told Joe I loved that he was so understanding of my need to veg after such a long weekend. He sat on the bed next to me and plied me with Gadiva chocolates. He told me all about his weekend and kept feeding me yummy chocolates.

Joe and LM standing and kissing on some rocks in SF I gave him a run down of my hectic weekend and began to launch into my ideas of getting married and making it happen sooner than later. Joe took my hand and began to slip something onto my finger while saying, "Speaking of getting married ..."

I just began to laugh and laugh and asked him what the heck he was doing.

When he asked, "Will you marry me?" I didn't believe him. In the midst of uncontrollable laughter, I said "ABSOLUTELY YES!" I threw my arms around his neck and gave him a big sloppy one.
